chip for 97 F150

I have a 97 F-150 4.6 5speed 4wd a friend of mine gave me his JET chip out of a 99 F-150 5.4 auto 4wd will it hurt anything to put it in mine or will it just not work.

I doubt it will work. Most chips are for specific models & will not work on any other models. You might be able to have the chip reflashed to work on your truck. Contact Jet to find out
