"Hissing" brakes--???

"Hissing" brakes--???
My brakes make a hissing noise like a vaccuum leak when I press the pedal. I had a complete brake job done a Les Schwab's and they didn't seem to think anything of the noise and the brakes themselves work great. My truck is a '72 Ranger 4x4. Is this "normal" noise or something I need to worry about? I WILL NOT want to take it back to 'Schwab's ever again.

Vacuum leak at the brake booster maybe ?

You're power brake booster is on the way out. It will only get worse to when you stomp on the brakes, the engine dies.
You can purchase a rebuilt unit at a good parts store for around $100, they'll want yours back or a core charge of about $25.
