I used to e-mail people who had bidded against me on an item where there were a dozen more for the same price for the same seller all ending within a couple of hours of each other, until I realized it was probably a dummy account set up purely for bidding up those items. My intention was just to point out it was senseless to bid against someone when you could just go the next auction down and just have to wait an extra 30 minutes. Then the light bulb turned on and I realized what was REALLY going on...
