A few days ago I posted regarding brake pedal going to floor at stop light after replacing lines.Well after much bleeding and searching the net I've found alot of people with this same problem and no real answers.Found a few guys having changed all comp. and still no diff. So I called an independant shop and a ford dealer and both gave me the same answer,(don't worry about it) It's fairly normal and while driving brakes stop the truck fine it's just while sitting that the pedal goes down but they still hold. Looked on the net for 1/2 hour again and found at least another 6 people with this issue. What do you guys think? Do your brake pedal slowly go down if you push faily hard while sitting. It only does this while running, hard pedal it it's off ( no vacuum).

I have hte same problem! if the truck is running and i push the brake pedal kinda hard it will go almost to the floor. but they work good and stop me fine. have you checked the pad on your front and back brakes? when i bought my truck i had nothing on my back brakes and the fronts where 50% gone so i mean it was really going to the floor. so i got new front pads and had the rear drums turned and put in new shoes. that helped alot for a while, but after a while they got soft. so i had to reajust the rear thingys that make the shoes get thight i dont know what there called. but now there stiff again.
so just check your pads and make sure you have your rear shoes adjusted so they touch the drum.

yep same thing. replaced master cyclinde with one from a 96 i think a van it was a 1/16 bigger bore and that helped. replaced abs valve, bleed brakes for days. i am a mechanic so i spent about 2 week after getting my truck trying to figure it out and came to the same conclusion as everybody else. keep the back brakes adjusted up good and live with it.
i have driven many other obs truck and all had the same issues.
Wanted to input my $.02...I test drove what will be my new 96 F350 the other day and noticed the same problem...pedal felt soft, but it stopped just fine. Glad to hear this isn't a big deal on these trucks.
