OK!!! here it is.. you can make the swap over work. i have seen it done one time,it was not very safe, and look like crap. after all the time spent on the swap and having to get a new rear axle, the guy still went with the kit from tsm.. the safe and easy way is to buy the swap over kit, it has all you need for the swap.. all you have to buy are some front calipers from 78-83 Chevelle, Monte Carlo, El Camino, Malibu, Tempest, Cutlass, F-85, Pontiac Grand Prix, Le Mans, GTO, Grand Am, and Bonneville. for the price of 9.95 each at AUTOZONE.. here is the link for the kit

I just got the truck today. It needs to be restored from the floor up but anyway currently it has a 302and trans out of a '72 mustang in it. My question is, I have the option of going and getting the original 360 and trans that came out of it before friday. Im really not for sure what the deal was with it,(I do know it had like 250,000 miles on it) but should i worry with going and getting the set, for maybe a later rebuild?
And second it has a Explorer emblem on the glove-box door and came with factory air. Any info on this particular model will help alot. Thanks All
Are the disk brakes really that much better than the POWER drum? My 69 has power drum brakes that, I will admit are a bit grabby sometimes but feel quite powerful even when pulling my boat. IS it worth it if I have power brakes?
There is an old junk yard just south of you that I know has 5 or 6 of these trucks in the yard. The name of the place is Canadice Automotive and the guy that owns it is John O'Conner, he is a nice old guy but a little tempermental so tread lightly but I know he still has a few out back. I think it would be listed under either Honeoye or Livonia in the phone book, its one of those that falls right on the line so I'm not sure but it is on Richmond Mills Rd in one of those towns. Hope it helps.
