I never saw the rustoleum automotive either. I was gonna use Rustoleum Professional grade enamel, with some mineral spirits. $26 a quart from Lowe's home improvement, but it beats buying a bunch of rattle cans for the price.
If you go the Rustoleum rattle can route, skip the cold galvanized primer. Rustoleum sells a high zinc primer that goes with the reg. paint. I use them on smaller parts like roll cages, bumpers etc.
i tried that mopar site paint w/roller and i used van sickle john deere yellow on a old ford, turned out nice for the money, more time than anything here's a pic <a href="http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/kk117/randysfords/?action=view¤t=jeeps084.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk117/randysfords/jeeps084.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> sorry about this old posting but just had to throw a pic at ya
You can use cold galvanize on a car or truck but you have to put zinc chromate over the top of that. Galvanize wont hold paint unless you use a self etching primer
