You can move the mount around to whichever way will fit the shock, it doesn't need to be in the exact same position of the factory one.
And you're right about the relocation kit, it pulls it up off the front of the undercarriage so it's not the first thing you trash should you run into something.

I've finally gotten it all mounted up, I made a few new spacers and beat those u-bolts on again, what a pain. To be honest, I can't say that the work was worth it. I suggest that someone looking for a true "bolt-on" stabilizer replacement to look elsewhere. The one thing I did notice is that with the nitrogen pressurized shock, I feel as though I am constantly fighting against it to keep the truck driving straight, and I just had an alignment done last week and it drove fine. Odd.

I called Kar Tek today and they said to lower the psi to around 50 psi 4wheel parts said to take it down at 50 psi increments they come from Fox at 200psi hope this helps. Just attach a guage to it.
