06 auto door locks

There are 2 ways, depending upon your truck, to deactivate the childproof auto locking. One is described on page 88 and one is described on page 89 of the 2006 F-Series Super Duty Owners Guide.

I posted the original link to the instructions. I tried them yesterday on my son-in-laws new 06 with Feb 06 build date; still did not work.
Would sure like to be able to have auto un-lock.
However, you can turn 'off' the auto lock feature using the instructions or the 'setup' button on the dash; at least it works on the 06 model. Then if the door is unlocked in the first place it will not auto-lock when you get above 5 MPH; therefore it should remain un-locked later.
Problem for me is that I want the auto lock; and I would also like to have auto unlock.
