51 door locks

How do you remove the door locks. I have removed the entire door mechanism.(door handles and linkage)

The ford service manual shows two screws on the inside door edge by the striker plate. I went out and looked at my truck and there are two screws, one is for removal of the door handle (large screw) and one is for the lock (small screw).

Is the screw by the weather striping. It looks like it is being held by a rivet.

I just went out and looked at mine again. Yes it is the one by the wearther strippng. Mine has a small screw holding it in.
You may have a allen screw. Try a allen wrench in the screw.
The Ford service manual call it a screw. They also show the hole in the door as a door lock screw hole.
