Take a 67' shortbox pickup and put it onto a Bronco chassis. If so which years would be the easiest to convert over to. Rusted out broncos sell pretty cheap lol.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Dec-02 AT 01:48 AM (EST)]I think a chassis from the 78-79 Bronco would be just the ticket.
I have not yet tried it, but wouild like to do it some day or at least see it done. Check my gallery for a digital simulation of the plans. It's a distant dream as I'm in the middle of a slow going engine rebuild right now. I think the lines of the 67-72 trucks would make a sweet looking Bronco.
If you go ahead with it, please take lots of pics and post them.
Good luck!

Some day hope to shorten to a 104" wheelbase as part of a Broncification project

wheelbase is to short for a bolt on, you would have to shorten the front of the bed to make it fit. been there, done that. or at least tried it. ended up with a little steel flatbed.
Couldn,t you cut the frame and lengthen it to the proper wheelbase?
I was wandering about cabmounts if they would be the same or close.
Maybe a blazer or Ramcharger have longer wheel bases. Would like to keep it all Ford if posssible . Thanks for any input.
yes you can cut the frame and extend it. but why not just buy a pickup to begin with? whole lot less work. broncos, blazers, and ramchargers all have slightly, as in about 8 inches, shorter wheel bases.
