hey guys...
please help me here... have an 02 f350. i removed the sway bar and links and pt new bushings in...i stupidly forgot to check the allignment of the the end links. could someone please tell me if the end links go inside, closest to the drive shaft, or outside closest to the springs/tires of the sway bar. i think it is outside, but both ways wll work. thanks for your help...
The two down links in the front sway bar system of my 2000 F-350 are as close to each other as possible. The links mount to the inboard side of the frame rails.
I'll go out and snap a picture for you.

I have to change mine too. My problem is that I have been to 3 different part stores and have not been able to get the bushing kits. O'Rielly did not understand what I wanted and got the order wrong twice, AutoZone said I had to go to the dealership and NAPA said I have to buy the entire link arm assembly for $42 each. Can you please tell me where you got them and their part number?
hey flyingv...i ordered mine from a local parts store...autozone does have them. they are from energy suspension...complete sway bar bushing set. #4.5186. that is for an f350...check energysuspension.com for all applications... you may be able to order them online. good luck
I bought mine at www.powerstrokeshop.com. I was told that the links were changed up somewhere along the way and that some of the links do not have replacable bushings. That's how mine ended up. I went through ordering and returning parts multiple times with my local Ford dealer (I even went through the computer with them) and got nowhere. I kept getting the bushings that looked like they fit the links in my rear sway bar, so you may end up having to order the links.
I called Energy Suspension and asked them where in my area could I buy their parts, the guy responded that I could buy them from any Autozone! I told him Autozone said they could not get them. He told me to talk to the manager. I called up the Autozone again and asked for the manager and he looked and still could not get them.
I ordered them online from energysuspensionparts.com
I hope they work.
the bushings that attach to the axle can be found at many parts stores but the links are replaced as a unit. the older one that use regular rubber bushing may be repalceable (these are the ones that the top bolt to the bottom of the frame rail) but the newer style (that bolt to the top of the frame rail) are not replaceable as just the ends becasue they use a ball and socket type joint. these must be repalce as the whole link and the only place i have found that has them is the dealer. Napa only carries th older one.
