2002 powerstroke

How can I tell how many horsepower my engine has, on msn it says that there are two motors, one with 250 and the other has 275. Also what are the advantages of 2002 over 2001? What kind of mileage are people getting out of these with the crew cab and 4x4?

with the auto tranny the engine hp will be 250 it will be 275 with a manual. the only advantage i can think of between a 2002 and 2001 is on 2001 they had a mechanical diode for the tranny which was a problem causing the trans to got out with it. i get 19 on the highway with my 2000 crew cab 4x4 and 14-15 around town
