It is a slow Saturday night for TV. My partner is sitting their watching one of the Bill and Gloria gaither gospel get together shows on TV. I have never really watched much of that or listened to much gospel music, but I just now realized that they do carry a pretty decent tune and their are quite a few of them that can really sing. Just thoght I would share that.
Opps. I just realized that the word "partner" might be misinterpreted. I am not gay. I am a paramedic and my "partner" is the other fella I am working with. LOL. That was kinda funny now that I think about it. Just wanted to clear that up. LOL

Sirius radio has a couple of 'Praise' channels that I tune into once in a while. It's good when you're feeling stressed. Somehow, the right song comes on at the right time...
And, just for the record, I doubt anyone here would have cared if you were a 'bundle of wood'...
I would put some of the christian singers/bands against some of the best secular artists out there. It is sad that christian music is often dismissed as "that Jesus stuff", and not recognized for the talent that is found there, not to mention the inspiration. When I hear vocals like Nicole C. Mullins, whoa! or a trio like Phillips, Craig, and Dean it impacts something deep inside a person and humbles them.
There are many different genres of Christian music out there, I have stuff that ranges from ballads and bluegrass to punk rock, even 80's style heavy metal.
Christian music has come so far in the past 10 years. If there is a style of music on popular radio, there is the same style in Christian but it is a lot more positive and doesn't have all the bad references and inuendos.
Christian music is all my family listens to my favorite is KLOVE they have repeaters in just about every state. Or just log on to klove.com and listen online and there is also a listing of all of their stations.
As far as having Christian CD’s the row on the counter is about 3 feet long plus what is in the cars.
I go to my church just to hear the music of the V-twin while I marvel at the nature of this world. The majesty of those glorious sounds eminating from one gleaming straight pipe and it's partner lifts my heart like little else can. It's at my fingertips. Often I choose to perform my own compositions but at times it's nice to just drop my burden on a large rock, prop myself against a nice maple tree and reflect upon the choir of heavenly sounds welling up from the valleys below. Glory can be found in any gear if you know how to listen for it. I've always been fond of 4th gear myself.
From here I can see Mt. Washington. Drawing my praise. I am compelled to make the pilgrimage, to bring forth my song of chrome and lay it before the altar of the stone. I will go again to the mountain my freinds. There is talk of a vast communion this summer. It will surely be a glorious spiritual fellowship, a communion of fellow worshipers each adding his or her own music to that symphonic convergence at the grand summit. It will happen on a day when that six mile road to heaven is yeilded, even by our Ford trucks, to those hellish motorcycles are twisted by thier unwashed unworthy owners. From it's lofty perch in the sky the mountain either rains down death, or blesses us with life, offering little in between but choice. I choose life.
Have you guys checked out the new Alan Jackson gospel album? It's called "Precious Memories." It's great! I bought it on Amazon for like 12 bucks shipped.
