I was wondering if there is an aftermarket speedo setup
that doesn't use a cable since my drive gear is wrecked and
I'm not fixing it. I've heard about attaching magnets to driveshaft
then using sensors to detect revolutions.
i have a 69 f100 with 460 , used a cyberdyne speedo tach combo, with electric sender on the tranny, works great. made a custom dash insert out of black walnut. little work but worth the effort
Big Block Power - I have a VDO Elect. speedo. It has to have a sending unit, which looks like some type of cable, and it still needs a driven gear inside the trans. VDO also sells the sending unit.
it's a 1972 f250 ranger xlt HD special with a 390 4v thats
slowly destroying the np 435 and D60 rear. The drive gear is busted
because the out put shaft or bearings in that area allow the
shaft to clink around. I just wanna know how fast I'm goin until
I stick in the t-18.
