First-Time Brake work

I just replaced the shoes in the front drums of my '72 f-100, but I'm not sure exactly how to adjust them. Should I hear any shoe-to-drum friction when the wheels spin, or should it be completely silent?

adjust until the shoes drag hard then back it off until it is just
barely making a noise as you rotate the drum.
