I used to install the stuff around pipes and ductwork. Get a few pieces in your arm and you will never use it again. Oh, and when you do get it on you (not if, when), you can use a stick your arm into the leg of the better half's pantyhose and slowly slide it up your arm. The hose will pull most of the fiberglass out.
No such thing as no/low itch fiberglass. They are probably coating the bat with something like urethane but underneath it is ALL ITCH!!! Fiberglass is miserable nasty stuff!
He's probably talking about Roxul. It's mineral wool instead of fibreglass. Little to no itch and it beats fibreglass in fire rating, water repelling, ease of use...etc. etc. etc.
(No...not connected with the company, but wish I were...)
I haven't installed fibreglass since I found the stuff.
