hey im new here and i was wondering if anyone has ever put a 351 in a 94 f150. It is feul injected and it is a manual. i got the motor and everything with it but the questions i have are is the ranny going to bolt up to the new motor and just what else am i going to have to change besides the motor mounts and cross member. Can i keep my tranny. Oh and just in case you were wondering, its got an inline 6 in there now. If anyone has done this before i really would like your input and if you live in the bucks county area i could pay for someone to help me
If you are swapping from the I6, the sticky at the very top of the forum thread list will help you with other details, but for your list of concerns....
Crossmember can stay. It should be drilled to accept mounts for any F-truck offeirng for a 94 model....
Mounts, see the sticky. You need the v8 mounts. Get rid of the I6 towers. Not useable for a vee-engine.
You can use the Mazda tranny. Bolts right up, but I'm not sure if the flywheel needs to be tweaked or not. You just can't pull like 10,000 lb's with the truck...not that you could anyway.
