The grille is that piece that fits inside the grille surround.
In 1978 there were 3 options for grilles
Argent
Argent with chrome slats (like on my Truck)

Now the red stands out! I am thinking silver on my 78 or what ever i find actually on a parts truck. Worse comes tro worse I'll paint it silver to match the bottom of my truck cause all but the bottom 4 to 6 inches will be a toreador red i am thinking with silver bottom, then interior silver with red dash pad, door panels, carpet, then gear shifters are toreador also.

Thanks for pointing the chrome grills out - I priced them for $129.00 which I think is reasonable considering how good they look. Put me down for an "other" vote. Chrome grill shell, headlight buckets and crome/argent grill. Chrome headlight buckets (on my '79) would also look good with the gloss black center in them.
