A couple of weeks back had some warranty work done on my 2000 F-350 V10 4x4, some of which was a tune-up so I could get the plugs replaced with the new plugs to avoid the plug blow-out. Today I'm driving down the road and I hear a rattle then a loud pop, pop, pop. When I could pull over I get out and look under the hood. There sits the no. 1 capacitor up above everything and no plug to be seen. Called up the dealer after I snuck home and they towed it back to the shop. Turns out the tech forgot to torque the plug when he hand screwed it in. The threads were fine and nothing else wrong. They put in a new plug and capacitor and are washing and cleaning the truck up. All those plugs are torqued now.
Appreciate it, I've got them and I will say I was happy when they did a complete detail on the truck. It hasn't been this clean inside since I bought it. Now I'm packed and heading to San Diego with a 2 day stop in Vegas. Gone for 5 weeks. Wish I had a lap-top so I could keep up with FTE. Using the Maxima, much cheaper on gas.
