OK, I have the whole thing together and running good. The lifters have all adjusted themselves and it idles and runs nice and smooth. Performance wise, it definately runs a little stronger now and also sound a little different...more of a winding as it builds up revs.
Right after I had it running I rebuilt the model 2100 carb. and that also made a big difference to the off-idle throttle response. It will almost chirp the tires now, where as before it wasn't even close.
I think the bottle-neck now is the intake manifold and carb. but it'll be a while before I can afford that setup.
With this new cam, how will that affect my ignition timing ie. should I advance my dist? Right now it is set at 10º BTDC initial.
