What is the frame difference between the 67-72 and the 73 -79 if there is any Thanks John

everything behind the cab is drasticly diffrent. and some little things foward of there, not to mention the 2" wheelbase diffrence. and alot of other things that I am to lazy to go into right now.

I've always understood the 73-79 models to have wider frames.

John, In 73 Ford widened the chassis I believe 3" and made the rear wheels track the front. A 4" section was also added to the rear of the floor pan so the rails are longer as well.

Are you planning on swapping bodies between the two years? It can be done fairly easy. There were some changes, but the bodies will fit with very slight modifications.

You wouldn't happen to remember those "slight modifictaions" off the top of your head would you ??
I am wondering if they are the ones I think I will encounter, like bed mount bolts not exactly matching the holes in the box, a slightly wider gap between the bed and the cab, an extra gas tank filler hole to add........having to fill my beer fridge more often for a while
