The bedliner in my truck gets to stay, as it has already done it's damage. I had it off a while back, and there was no rust under there, but plenty of dirt. The side rails though have depressions in them all the way back, so in order to cover that up, I would have to use bed caps. Sprayed in will do a good job for you. Also, bedliners are slick, everything slide around in there for the slightesst movement, but from what I understand, the spray ins aren't nearly as slick.
I just used a product called hippo liner, its a do it yourself paint in liner. I was very pleased with the results, a roller is supplied with the kit, the down side is you need two kits for a full size bed. Each kit cost about $70. I have half a kit left over which I plan to use under the fenders.
Does the spray in bedliner scrape off when you shovel dirt out of the bed?It also seems like your shovel would dig in sometimes and stick to it.A plastic liner lets a shovel go across it real easy.I have been thinking about a spray in also.
How will the spray in do to help the bed if it already has some rust in it.Will it help stop or should something be done prior to the spray.
lol i ONLY have spray ins done, i have 3 trucks w/ them, one being a 02 PSD (work truck) my 2006 chevy 2500 (dd) and my older 1980 f-250 (old work vehicle) i do all kinds of consturtion and with the rhino, it never chips, and if it does take it back to where you got it spraied and have them do it again, (only the rhino war.) i think but either way i've hit mine w/ a shovel and had no breaks, sooo i'm sure you wont have a problem (spray in is a bit more though)
