Guys, I'm a newby and find this site very informative and you guys very entertaining at times.
My problem is I can't find a new F250 or F350 XL with a V-10. I'm in the landscaping/maintenance business and I would trash the interior of a XLT. I tried to order one and I was shut out of that too, no more 06 orders being taken and I can't wait for the too short production run 07's.
Do you gentlemen have any idea's?
Your dealer should be able to do a nation-wide search. However, it appears from recent posts that V10s are getting pretty hard to find in any trim level (XL, XLT, etc.) So, your current options are to buy used or wait for an '07.
Biglawndog, you might want to check out Woodhouse Ford in the Nebraska area.Go to the Ford website to find a dealer, Lincoln, Nebraska. About 10 to 15 different V10 models last time I looked. Might be to far for you, but another option.
BTW, you are 100% right. You don't want cloth. You will ruin it in nothing flat. Sweat, dirt and two-cycle and cloth don't mix. I can't say enough good things about the vinyl 40/20/40 seat in my XL. If you luck out an find one with it, it is worth every bit of the $340 invoice price.
Thanks Guys,
snellville dave, I tried cars.com and I did find one........in Alaska, just my luck.
My dealer did a nationwide search and there are a few out there,it just would cost to much to get it here unless I get it myself.
I'm in south Fla. Ft. Lauderdale area.
you might just want to call those dealers. se if you can buy directly then do a fly and drive it home deal.
good luck as there seems we will not see very many 07 v10's built if any at all. from the wording of the new spec sheets 250/350
I found a couple earlier this year that didn't show up on the ford.com inventory but showed up the dealers local web page. It's possible that any fleet vehicles they have in stock won't show up on ford.com, at least that's what I saw in this area. They had 2 F350 XL's in stock at the time. I ended up buying a different vehicle from a different dealer who gave me a much better deal on my trade-in.
