We need to do something about the plenum
I was looking at the intake plenum from that e-bay motor. I don't know if anyone sells a better unit, but this thing seems to be a HUGE restriction.
Maybe I will make one at work and see if the flag flies. Years of drag racing a turbo motor tells me that there is a better way, and this one seems to be ignored.

are you talking the intake housings on the head themselves? if you are somebody on ebay is selling aluminum intakes. but honestly i think you need to make tons and tons of power before that part needs to be addressed.

If that thing was smooth bore/bend, you would get so much more out of the stock turbo. The intercooler would most definately be more consistant with charge air temps. The less bends, the better everything works together.

my Diesel tech teacher and his machining buddy are making custom intake plenums that have a different design and they are supposed to be alot stronger. you can tighten the clamps down alot more, without damaging it.
