Hey, I need to know everything about a 'Custom Cab' in the years of '68 and/or '69 because I have a 1968 standard cab truck. Email me or IM me or whatever lol and Thanks, Austin--- hope to hear from somebody shortly! lol LaterZ!
Welcome to FTE!
Most of the difference in custom cab trucks was in the seat. Usually, the standard cabs just had a plain vinyl seat, while the customs had a woven seat. Sometimes they also had plastic door panels, instead of the regular steel ones.
The custom cab also had the aluminum grill rather than the painted one found on the standard cab, and a painted front bumper rather than the chome one found on the ranger. It was sort of inbetween the standard cab and ranger.
I Have have owned a 69' Custom Cab Ranger and now I own a 68' Custom Cab Ranger. Both have had the brushed alluminum grill. The 69' has the Red horizontal stripe down the center off the grill. They both had blacked out headlamp bezels. The 68' has a reflector on the rear quarter panels where the 69' placed reflectors just below the tail lamps. The 68' had the all steel door inner panels that I changed to match the 69' which had cardboard covered with vinyl available from LMC. Also the 69 Ranger had simulated woodgrain instrument cluster and an alluminum bezel covered with a simulated wood grain decal which surrounds the dash ****ches. The 69 had a cargo lamp where the 68 did not have one. last, the 69 had dome light entry switches where the 68 did not(68 did have mounting holes and harness hook-ups) These are only my experiences. I cannot say that these are all original features either. Like 77 250 mentioned, try asking some specific questions.
no such i kinda tought so even if my 68 has got both emblems on it no carpet as woodgrain instr panel full chrome outside for 2 tone paint with no cargo light also 390 fender badges with 360 vin but 390 init anyway to to tell by the vin tag info
