Try Barry R at "Survival Motorsports" I posted a link earlier in this thread. I'm sure he can get everything you need. Excellent service and very easy to deal with. I'm not sure what's up with DSC. It's just him and his son that run the show. Maybe he's having a hard time keeping up with things??? Hard to say. I do know recently he moved his shop and I'm sure that caused some delays. I guess I've been lucky. I bought most of my stuff from DSC on ebay. Everything was shipped within a week.
Dennis moved or was he kicked out of his last location, I would think the latter on with how he operates. As far as springs vs spacers between rockers are you nuts or like the challenge of replacing a grenaded motor?
.....=o&o>.....
not sure whatcha mean there beemer but i'm just coming to you experienced guys for some info and guidance and trying to learn in the process. Thanks for the info FFR428!
You want a positive stop to hold rockers on top of the valve stems not the old spring system where there is a chance rockers can walk around. That sick sound at 5,500 rpm's when rockers hammer spring retainers, bend valve stems or pop out the keepers which then feed the piston some valve head for lunch is a sound you don't want to hear and wallet can't afford. It can cost you a block, heads, pistons, you get the idea.

8mile, yeah Dennis was real screwy on that last deal but he was switching shops, I guess. I'm sure his service will be a little better than that now. But who knows. But I'm impressed with the quality of the pushrods I got.
I had one of my dsc adj push rods crack at the bell or cup. I tried all day Monday I think it was to call him. 20 plus calls never got him I was hoping to just get 1 adj push rod from him. I just ordered the Crane ones from Summit. They will be here Thur./ Friday this week
ya i called him 3 times yesterday and got his "full mailbox". today i called around 2 est and to my surprise got him! I'm gonna call him tomorrow and actually order the goods. wish me luck!
73F100*8mile, Good luck, I have never had a problem with Dennis or DSC until this cracked cup on my adj. push rod. I ordered my adj, push rods and Doves roller rockers from him and they arrived 3 days later. I wish I could have talked to him about it. I just cant take the risk of them cracking and breaking and getting pieces in my new engine so thats why I bought the Cranes. Just my 2cents. Charles
Charles, how long had you been running your engine when you found the busted pushrod? Were they the $40 pushrods? I hope these will tide me over until i can afford the $89 cranes.
Beemer, Yea I feel lucky with it but if one cracked all I will do is worry about the rest of them now. Any way my Cranes just arrived so I,ll get them in this weekend
73F100*8mile,I have 2000 miles on this new engine and its just cracked not busted yet
and yes it was the $40 ones.
Rusty, I didnt mean to shoot the adj. push rods, Dennis or DSC down as I didnt get to talk to him and allow him to tell his side or make them right or anything yet. I,m sorry you read it that way as that was not my intent. I have always gotten good service and fast shipping from him. I just decided I needed to do some thing else now that one cracked. All I would think about is the other 15 and how they are holding up.
kurt those comp rods at summit list as 3/8" rods. Dont' i have to use 5/16" rods with my lifters? and also they list at $95.88! can you use the 3/8" rods with my setup? thanks
Then he turns around and finds 3/8" rods anyway! I could have just said no, you need 3/8" pushrods. But the second guessing is just driving me nuts.
Sorry if I got a little touchy there, just had to get that out.
Now that that's out of the way, the Cranes will work fine, as will the $40 DSC pushrods. They will be more than adequate for the 941 cam. I am running the $40 DSC rods without a problem.
Rusty, I "think" my dsc rods are 5/16 and i know theses Cranes are 3/8. I,m just going from memory here and according to my wife its getting more selective as I grow gracefully older but these things look fat compared to the 5/16 dsc ones. ( if my memory serves me correctly lol) I,ll get them in and adjusted this week end and let you know.
The DSC's are 3/8". I am using them in my motor with Crane's lifters, the ones that match their pushrods. I compared the ball end to the stock pushrods before assembling it, out of curiosity. Same thing. 3/8"
