Do you mean the crew cab with the extra door or the extended cab with extra seat? Crew cabs date way back and were built by outside contractors. I believe Ford started manufacturing the extended cab in 1973, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks I meant the Extra cab 2 door with extra seat I had kinda figured that they started after 72 since I have never seen one I have seen lots of the 4 door short bed in 67-72 but only 1 4 door long bead witch is the truck I hope to own someday
Thanks for the info!!
I think I've seen ONE in the <1972 model! I _WISH_ mine had the extra cab (not four doors just the one with the window in the back of the larger cab). For a truck that's so big, you'd think there would be more cab room, but I can't fit much of anything behind the seat with that gas tank there.
I took and cut a 93 Chevy extracab off behind the glass and added the rear 2 doors off a crew cab Chevy last summer so I ended up with a extra cab 4 door with the extra cab in between the doors and stretched the frame and drive lines maybe if I find one I could possibly take the rear section off a 73 or so model and convert the body lines to match my 67-72 just make my own I guess any one have any pics of any custom changes to 67-72 ford trucks? just looking for some more ideas thanks!!

This pic was sent around on the FTE mailing list last year sometime. I don't recall the details.

74, huh? That might help explain why the 74 owner's manual I have has Super Cab references in it! It also mentions the 6-man crew cab 4x4! Wow, that must have been a mean work truck.
