I recently did some work and had the hood up a long time and now the underhood light is not working. I took the bulb and checked it, it was OK. I removed the light assembly and it was OK when tested with a battery charger. I took a volt meter and didn't get any voltage in the plug on the hood. Hopefully someone knows where the fuse is for the light....also I was able to get it removed, now I need to find out if there is a techinque for putting it back on...it's kicking my behind getting it reinstalled..........

Are you talking about the fuse or the light? My limited experience with the underhood light is that it will not stay on forever just like the dome or rear bed lighting. Try closing the hood and opening it the next day with the bulb installed and it should work. I think there is a timer there. If not, post on because if this doesn't solve the problem, somebody will chime in. I don't even have a bulb there anymore, just use a flashlight.
You dudes ROCK!!! I went back this morning (with clear mind and calmer temper) and just as yall said.....evidently the circuit shut the power off to the lamp, and overnight it reset...now if I could only find the correct bulb to put back in it!! I was so aggravated late last night I have no clue where the bulb went to....OH well, I needed a new one anyway!!!! Thanks for all the input....Dave
