Ford Canopy?
hey, someone just gave me a 70s ford canopy.
how rare are these and what is it worth?
it seems to be a factory thing, it says ford on it, it is fiberglass and has a plug on it for the lights inside, Is there a plug in my wiring harness for this? it seems like i found an un-used plug under the bed once, just wondering about anything anyone knows

I had one on my 76 f250. well made, factory mounts, matched cab lines, front window was same as cab back window. Heavy. I bought it from a guy who bought it new from ford with his 77 f250, I paid $120 I think. I recently sold it for $150. Probably worth more to the right person.

yeah i'm nost sure how much it being made by ford is going to add to this one. Camper tops are only desireable to certian people, like my grandpa. I'm guessing you got it for free 'cause the guy couldn't sell it or didn't want the hassle.

hey don't get me wrong I'd take one for free. My roomate wrecked his 86 ranger with the camper top off it, unfortunately it dosen't fit my 77 f100. Right now I use it to store wood under beside the house.

In 78, the deluxe canopy cost about $800.00 give or take $50.
That's the one with slider side windows,rear canopy light ,front slider window....like mine.

I had one of those but it came on an 81 F100 that I bought.Didn`t quite fit the 81 body very well cuz it was one of the factory 73-79 caps.
