Hellwig Sway Bar

Hey Guys,

Could somebody post on how to install the front and rear Hellwig sway bars?

I'm itching to put these on my 02 Ex ASAP..

Is it an easy install?

How handy do you have to be?

How long will it take?

Any special tools required? Any drilling into the frame needed?

Thanks in advance...

Big Rig

I just installed a rear anti-sway on my X last weekend and it took a couple of hours by myself. They come with instructions. If you have 2wd I would recomend driving up on some ramps but do not jack up, see instructions ....
No drilling or special tools required . you should already have a front anti-sway or are you going for a heavier one .... ?

Check your shocks. If they are leaking, this would be a good time to replace them. You see, when you install the rear Hellwig bar, the shocks will come undone. So, if you are going to replace the rear shocks, this is a good time.

just ordered a rear bar for my 01 PSD X 4x4. I have a 31' prowler that I have not really towed very far yet except home from the sell. A little shakey but I already put bilstiens on all around. Really anxious to feel the difference.

Looks like it. Give them a call and get Summit to match prices since they have free shipping but a nominal fee for handling.

All of this is getting mind boggling.
I have hads the "White knuckle" experiences towing and never want them again. So watever it takes to get my "X" tow worthy is a must. My family is important to me. Now it seems I need new tires too. Any good "E" rated 285/75/16 in an AT tread pattern out there? Also, still can't find the Landyots.

Thanks for all the good answers and suggestions. You all rock.

I believe BF Goodrich make a tire new this year that is in that size and also E rated. Check out there web site. My friend has them and tows a 23 foot toy hauler load to the gills with now problems.

Unhappy

i just removed my helwig rear swaybar from my 00 psd EX 4x4. while i have edlebrock shocks (way to stiff of a ride and would recomend anything but) the sway bar was the cause to vibration on the highway and clunking noises over bumps. it does not have lock washers and comes loose to make noise.

i plan to but the sway bar on ebay if anyone wants it.
