1995 Ford F350 Stalling while driving
I have a 1995 Ford F350 PSD and it will die while driving around 60-70mph(any mph), and it normally starts right back up, but it didn't this time around. At times, it will just jerk real HARD, but I have checked the oil level, fuses, and fuel level. All is good. What is the problem? I am clueless. I feel that my local garage dealer knows how clueless I am, cause this is a constant problem, and its something different everytime. Please give me clue, somebody please?

I had a '94.5 F250 PSD that acted similar to what you've discribed. I would be driving down the road (no particular speed) and it would jerk and buck as if it was being starved for fuel or something. I'd pull over let it idle for a bit and take off again and it would be fine. I would go for days or weeks at a time without a problem than it would happen again several times in an hours drive. The fellas on this site helped me out and told me to check the Cam Position Sensor (CMP or CPS). I had the truck scanned and sure enough that is what it was. You best bet is to get one on Ebay for $60 or you can go to www.shopdiesel.com and pay $130 or go to Napa or the Dealer and Pay upwards of $200. They are simple to change. If you lay down on the ground on the passenger side of the truck and look up at the from of the engine you'll see the gold colored metal marker above the harmonic balancer there is a electric plug in that you need to disconnect and a 10mm bolt to take out. It may take some real light pressure from a screw driver to pop it out, but that's all there is to it. The best thing to do is have a code reader hooked up it should tell you right away what the problem is.

KTof CO, I think your right on the money man. davidrobertaw it's an easy fix if you can wait for ebay thats the way to go, but if you need it now International Harvester truck is the place, around 110.00 bucks. Good luck man.
