I know we have some current & former Ford tech's on the board; Can one of you guys please explain to me exactly how the cruise control cable disconnects from the throttle body linkage? My Haynes manual is very unclear about this.
I thought that it was just a pair of needle nose pliers, pull the cable end out of it's mount. Sorry about the lack of specificity, I just thought that's all there was to it. Somebody else will surely know better than I do though.
Nah; the cruise control cable & the throttle cable are seperate, even though they're side by side. Here is an old (bad) picture of what the intake looks like on my wife's Expy. (The engine is now spotless; It was filthy in this picture; This was taken right after I started being a DIYer)

I figured it out. You pull it straight up, & it simply "un-snaps" from the throttle linkage. Hard to explain, but simple once I could see the bottom of the cable where it snaps onto the throttle linkage.
