Hey guys! I've gotten a lot of support on my other post so I thought I would ask a question that has been burning at me for a while now. What year did Ford first introduce the FX4 package on a pickup truck? I know a guy with an '89 F150 4x4 with FX4 stickers on it that appear to be the exact same stickers that are found on the new FX4s. He says it is a real FX4 but you all know you can't really trust everyone you meet. So if you could help me out i would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Anyone can buy them stickers and put them on any truck. Just look at 4x4 decals on ebay and you can find any kind ever made. I've got some on my truck that say 4x4 off-road but it actually doesnt have the off-road package. I thought they just looked good so i bought them.
And for the year they came out with FX4, I am not sure.

FX4 is basically the same the as the 4x4 Off Road package that was on our era trucks, they just changed the name. A traditional 4x4 is not the same thing. It basically consists of skid plates and shocks and maybe sway bars etc.
