Fog light question
I have a 06 XLT, it has no Fog lights. I bought the lights and new switch with the fog light provision from the ford parts counter. Do I need to get a wiring harness for this or will it plug right in? I dont want to cut/tap/crimp/or solder wires.
It requires a small harness that runs from connector on drivers frame rail just behind bumper to the lights. It was plug and play. I have an 06 XLT and the part number was "c3z*15a211*ba", cost $8.02. I put everything in, took about 30 minutes with help from my 12 yr old daughter. I didn't have to take lights off the brackets as I had read on this subject. I just had to take bulb out and snaked them in sideways and then re-installed bulb, bolted up and was done. When you go to check you light remember to turn on keys, fog turn off with ignition switch off. The switch was plug and play also.

Thanks for the reply... I called the dealer and they tell me that part number is missing a digit... They also sold me i cant buy the harness alone... I have to buy the whole kit... Sounds like they are full of it.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I am trying to gather all the parts to add OEM Fog Light to my truck. I have a list, but have determined that the appropriate connections in the bumber are not there. Has anyone added fog lights to a truck that didn't come with them from the factory?
List of items provided to me:
Lamp - 7C3Z-15200-AA
Lamp - 7C3Z-15201-AA
Wire connectors (not harness) for lights - 1U2Z-14S411-FA
Headlamp Switch - 8C3Z-11654-CA
I was told that there is only one part for the headlamp switch wiring harness, so the chance are it's wired appropriately for the switch to control the fog lamps, but the quesion I have is the connections to the lamps...where will i grab the wires that come from that harness inside to connec to the lamps?

I recieved all the parts that the local Ford house suggested, but I think I'm missing parts. Could someone assist?
I have the fog lights, the new switch for fog lights (w/Auto lights) and a couple pig tails.
I believe I'm missing the wiring harness (15A211). Then the questions come:
- If the truck didn't come with factory fog lights, is it ready for them? the 15A fuse is in place 21 in the fuse box.
- I was told that there is only one wiring assembly for the headlight switch so, it suggests that the truck is wired to the headlight switch. If so, is there a place in the front of the truck where 15A211 would plug in?
-Is it that easy? Install lights, switch and 15A211?
Thanks,
Powersktx

My local Ford parts guy ordered it separate. He is a good friend, so maybe he helped me out and just didn't tell me.
