The lights on the running boards are 16" on center. The lights under the tailgate are 6" on center. I taped the lights on the running boards and moved them around and tried more lights and less lights but 4 on 16" centers just looked the best.
Thanks a lot man. i have been playing around with it for a couple of weeks. i have a cc with the factory chrome steps and the brackets keep messing things up. i'll eventually work it out.

you should be able to find white single LED at Autozone. I have them on the bottom of my doors and running boards. look at my gallery pics and you will see them.
