Today I happened to notice that my front shocks are leaking. Not a lot, but noticable. They could be original-if so-they have almost 105k. The ride seems fine. My son's shop teacher tells the class that leaks are no biggy if the ride and handling are still okay. They look easy to change. I don't have the LLS. What are your thoughts? What is a good replacement? I've heard "Reflex" are a good choice.
With shock technology what it is today, most any applicable brand makes a descent shock. If your using this as an everyday driver for work or such, I don't see a reason to spend too much.
Like most shocks, they don't take a tech wiz to replace. A couple of hours and whala!
Leakage usually means yours starting to reach the end of your shocks life....but the teacher is right. You don't need to rush out and get new ones immediately.
I would keep and eye on your tires, check for cupping, this is an almost sure sign of shock failure (alignment also). Keep in mind also, a vehicle of this size does not show the usual vibration you would get from a small vehicle.
