I have a 73 F250 that I am having issues getting the doors to open correctly from the inside.
I have taken the door panels off and looked for adjustments to the inside handle but can not find anything.......can someone point me in the right direction? It is like the rod that fits into the U shape of the handle is touching on the very tip of the handle so when you attempt to open........then U shaped handle binds onto the rod and will not open.
I would start by making sure everything is lubed up. I had a truck once where the door locks didn't unlock automatically like they were supposed to. I never figured it out. Try looking into that, though. The only other thing I can think of is that your rods are bent.
Yep, You were right. Took apart door, lubed up the mechanism with some grease and viola, doors open as they should. Really thought it was something that needed adjustment, but just needed a little TLC......and grease.
