Hey, My brother just bought a new 2006 ford sd f-350 4x4 and it has 18 inch wheels, we was wondering if 16 inch wheels will work on this truck? Or at least why the 18'S? This is probably a silly question but if it is for brake cooling or something he don't want to mess that up! Thanks
i dont beleive they will fit . i think 17inch is the smallest you can go because they will hit the rotors. i think this only applys to the 05 and 06 anything older i think they will fit.
Thanks for the reply's! Two reasons we was thinking this 1. The old truck he traded in on this one he just bought a set of winter tires for and he still has them size 285 75 16 bf goodrich m/t. So it would be easy to purchase a set of wheels and be done. 2. The truck had this option on it not a choice thing in our opinion we like the bigger tire smaller wheel look! And besides the options and price of tires. If your ever on the road and blow a tire in a small town plan on staying the night with a 18 inch tire. With a 16 you can find something and be on your way! Just options! Thanks again for your help!
