Cheap Blue Pressure washer Help

Ok, Walmart had these things for 50% Off so i got one for around $45, This was about 6months ago, Now yesterday i was washing my truck with this thing and i left for Lunch and when i came back out i seen that the Hose had Burst and there was water all over.

So i think its no big thing and i just need a New hose, So i go buy a good 25ft 2200psi Max Hose and when i Put on the New Hose and turned the machine on and it wont Turn off, See anyone that has one of these know that once its Pressurized the motor will go off untill you start using the Machine then it will go back on to keep the Pressure up to 1200psi... So now it wont go off and the Pressure is about 1/2 what it used to be & It wont do Crap. Any ideas?

Im getting a new Gas powerd one in about 6 months but i need this for Cleaning off my ATV after My last mud Run and i really cant want untill i Have the money.. Well i have the money but i would much rather wait... I hope this is the right forum.

Thanks again

Cheap Blue Pressure washer Help

Why did you leave the machine running when you went for lunch? First rule of power tools: NEVER leave a power tool unattended! If you only left it pressurized it is still very dangerous. Always release the pressure. If the machine had a check valve as part of the pump (which it probably did) then the pressure would build in the hose when the sun warmed it and would increase the pressure to the burst point. The pressure probably also ruined the pump mechanism also. This would explain why it won't shut off because it won't build enough pressure to operate the cutoff switch.

Bottom line, you ruined the pressure washer. Get a new one and follow the operating instructions including the safety rules.

Cheap Blue Pressure washer Help

Even if the Machine Is off there is still Pressure in the Hose, That is untill you Let the water out... This is how ive used the machine the Whole time ive owned it, Using it upwards of 3 Times a day... By Leaving it on it will not keep Building Pressure, the motor shuts off when there its at 1200psi. The area where it broke was a Pretty weak area... Just where the Hose screws into the machine & it gets Flexed alot, It just had enough.

Lunch took about 3-5min, I didnt really leave to go to Mc-Donalds or anything but i went inside to get something..It wasnt over 5 min. More than once i have By mistake left the Thing on over night, No Problems..I wake up and it works just fine.

Believe me, I know how to run machines...I do push the Limits more than once a Day but this im Sure of...It Wasnt because i left it on, It was getting ready to rain so it wasnt but maby 79degrees out but the Washer was in the Shade under a tree as was the truck... Theres a 90% Chance the Heat had nothing to do with it.

Hmmm, sounds as if it still built up enough pressure to burst the hose at it's weakest point where it will always burst:-) Was the hose to the washer shut off? Did it sit there and run dry until some thermal overload shut it down? The presure switch can always go bad also.

The bottom line is still the unit is trashed. You were just lucky all the times b4 but the law of averages cought you. Buy the new one and take better care. Leaving a machine around like that is almost as dangerous as leaving a loaded gun on the ground, it just does not have the range. Like you mentioned the pressure stays on the hose until you relieve it, just like leaving a round in the chamber, even if you take the clip out. (of course some auto's "supposedly" will not fire with the clip out). Water under 1000 psi will kill if injected into the body.

Add the extra extension hose to the new machine. Watch the working pressure ratings, not the burst pressure.

It usually takes me 5 minutes just to get the grime off b4 lunch:-)

Always think safety! We are working with dangerous power tools with dangerous pressures, combustible fluids and gasses, toxic chemicals, powerfull electric devices with enough amperage and voltage to kill and/or cause extreme burns. BE SAFE!
