Weak air from A/C vents

Have you ever been driving down the road and thought to yourself (Maaannn my A/C sure doesn't seem to blow as hard as it used to).Well this is what happened to me.I was thinking that same thing one day and decided to pull my fan out and check it.When I did I shined a flash light down in the hole and saw some leaves and a Wal Mart bag in there. Not sure how the bag got in there.Took my shop vac and cleaned it out.I looked in there again with my light and just happened to look towards the Evap core and saw some kinda dirt covering the entire coil.Removed the Evap core cover and cleaned the coil thuroughly.Blows like brand new now.Even took care of my overheating problem.Thought this might help someone.

Weak air from A/C vents

I guess an automotive AC unit needs maintenance just like a home AC unit. I clean out my house evaporator coil every spring b4 the cooling season. It is surprising to find the amount of crud in there even with good filters. Older automotive HVAC systems don't even have filters.

Thanks for the tip. Any other AC system service tips out there?
