what tearend do i have

What Rearend do you think is in my 96 7.3 psd

or do i have those backwards????

Are you sure? I could have sworn mine had 3.79's from the tag on the rear.

So if you have a C5, then it is 4.10 gears............what does the LS stand for and what manufacturer is it?

Limited slip, the axle and I would assume all its components are made by Sterling.

No such thing as a 3.79 gears in these axles. there is a gear code, some build codes, and possibly a manufacture date on that tag, but MOST say 3.55, 3.LS, 4.10 or 4.LS on there somewhere

Yup, I have a 39 on the door tag so it is a 3.55.....thanks for the info!!
