help, turbo problems

I have a 04 psd with edge platnuim and 4.5 '' exhaust with no cat or muffler. recently when i turn the truck off i can hear the turbo still spining. I think that means there is a problem. if i take it into the factory will that void the warranty due to the exhaust. i know they will with the edge programer. i can take that off easy. please let me know if the noise made is a problem. i have never heard it before on any other diesel i have had

I think thats just the turbo spooling down. more than likely its quite fine, and normal. the reason you noticed it, is probably because you've got that larger exhaust that lets the exhaust breathe better, and the turbo spools better, and doesnt slow down as much because theres less backpressure to slow it.

I would only worry if you didn't hear it still spinning

Any diesel I've ever heard with a performance exhaust on it, or even a straight exhaust, the turbo will still spin even after shut off. It's a good sound if you ask me!

Are you sure it's the turbo you hear? The cooling fan makes noise for a few seconds after shutting down.
