hmm. I listen to Country, pretty much all kinda of rock and all forms of metal and industrial such as:
Pantera, NIN, TERRORFAKT, Pnuematic Detach, ayria, THE BERSERKER, Meshuggah, Lamb of God, Craig Morgan, Jerry Reid, Iron maiden, White Zombie/Rob zombie, and others too! and nicccccce guitars Joelski!
I am a huge chris knight and trent willmon fan. However, I NEVER hear any of their songs on the radio up here in PA. Does anybody down south hear them?
I like all country except for them rascal flatt **** and other queers like that. I listen to a lot of country but I do like AC/DC, Meatloaf, Steve Millerband, ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard songs as well as other classic rock.
As for country- Chris knight, Trent Willmon, Eric Church, Poverty Neck Hillbillies, Chris Cagle, Chris Ledoux, Garth Brooks, Steve Earl, Jason Aldean, John Prine, Brad Paisely, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift (Hey, I'm 17 and so is she!! ), Montgomery Gentry, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and a lot more that I don't feel like typing that much. LOL
If you don't know who chris knight is but you like country...LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC. I have never meet anyone who didn't like him after they heard him. He is a no B.S. country artist who writes all of his own songs and has 5 albums.
I just saw this video on CMT today. Its a sweet video. The first thing is a jacked up F-350 rolling through the woods. Then there is another 92-97 White ford (i think its a PSD) haulin hay. There is also a couple of 78-79 Fords. It is really a cool video and a good song.
Country all the way for me.....except for when the girlfriend is in the truck...then I listen to whatever she wants to.
Let's see...country wise....I like Luke Bryan ("Baby's On The Way" and "Pray About Everything" are my 2 favorite songs off his album), Alan Jackson (love his new song "Small Town Southern Man"), Jason Aldean ("Why" and "Amarillo Sky"), Taylor Swift (hey, I can dream ), Kellie Pickler (hey, I can dream more ), Bucky Covington, and Trace Adkins. Also, Van Zant, Josh Turner, and many others (my fingers are getting tired ).
Now, another question....why does it seem like everyone I talk to doesn't like country...but it is one of the top-selling (if not THE top selling) genres?
I agree with you crehberg. Everyone I talk to HATES country. Me girlfriend and I can't get enough of it (no fighting over the radio!). There must be a lot of closet country fans out there somewhere.

I know there must be some fans somewhere....just wish I could find some of 'em to hang out with. Even a lot of the rednecks listen to rap now......what kind of crap is that!!!! Now, about the girlfriend........you think you could convince mine to listen to country while she's in my truck??

I think you're going to need to put your foot down on that one. Tell her "my truck, my radio, my music." That'll go over well I'm sure. I used to listen to rap until I was 15 because it was "cool." One day I just gave up on it. Havn't listened to it in 4 years. All country and southern rock. I hate seeing a nice big lifted up muddy truck with rap blasting out of 6 subwoofers. Yuck!!! It just doesn't fit. I'm not trying to start anything with anybody. Just my opinion. You're aloud to have yours as well.
50/50 between punk and country, Hah now thats a match!
gotta love old school afi, anti flag, NOFX
and alan jackson or craig morgan's international harvester!
deffinetly country, all the way. As previously stated, there is a kind of "texas" country, listen to some of that, on a RARE occasion, i will listen to some rap. Just to hear my sound system beat, and occasionally some rock mixed in. Im not a big fan of most of the new country. Not really me, sounds more like pop songs than anything, i think they need a new kind of country, pop country, just like hard rock, death metal, soft rock, all kinds of rock and roll, just classic country, and country, which in my opinion the some of the new country soungs, are neither catagory.
What else do you listen to? I am not a KSE fan (though I went to their dvd shoot.... heck, a $5 show on a weeknight was about as good a way for me to get my drink on with friends that I could think of ), but on FTE... metalheads are indeed the minority. The latest band that I am getting absolutely wrapped up in is the 'Cavalera Conspiracy'
I am an OLD SCHOOL Sepultura fan, and was completely bummed when Max left 12+ years ago now. This new venture reunites him with his brother, Iggor (drummer from Sepultura). It could be mistaken for Sepultura at their peak. I cannot wait for these guys to tour the US!
