I listen to country almost all the time. Occasionaly when Rascal Flatts or Lonestar or Keith Urban or any of the other country fakes come on I'll listen to rock. I like the older country too like Johnny Cash, C.W McCall (Convoy).
Country and rock and ive been listnin to CCR lately (cross) that and im likin the new country for the first time in a long time like
what kind of gone, watching airplanes, raisin hell and amazing grace
That is the only thing I will listen to and its easy to play along with his songs on the guitar. I have to listen to country at work and it drives me nuts, I hate country.

Country (minus ALL the women singers....sorry ladies...but women country singers suck! With the exception of the OLD Reba, Wynona, and the like).
Rock, Southern Rock, and some Metal
-Skynyrd, POCO, Outlaws, Nickelback, Disturbed, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Cinderella, Metallica, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, etc...
Country, rap, and rock for me. I can't stand pop or that heavy metal crap. I could go all day naming favorites for each genre, but I'll try to just pick three for each.
Country- Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton
Rap- Kanye West, T.I., Dem Franchize Boyz
Rock- Linkin Park, Angels & Airwaves, Crossfade
I can't forget Johnny Cash, or the Beastie Boys. Both will always have a spot on my playlist.
REAL Texas country fellas. Wade Bowen, Jason Boland, Kevin Folwer, Cory Morrow, Bleu Edmondson, Cross Canadian, Eli Young Ban, Kyle Bennet Band, Bart Crow Band (Dam there's lot's of 'bands', Robert Earl Keen, Slaid Cleaves, Brandon Rhyder, Aaron Watson, Chris Knight, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Randy Rogers Band.
Being in Lubbock, I've seen most of these guys live because all there is to do in this town is drink beer in the few bars that play country, or go to Raidergate before football games.
Classic Country is always right tere too. Waylon and Willie, Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, Hank Sr and Jr, even some Lefty Frizzell and Johnny Horton.
Bet real rock is good, too. None of this Greenday I-Cut-Myself-And-Hate-America Emo CRAP. The good stuff like Zepplin, the Beatles, Boston or Guns'n'Roses. Pretty much anything the radio out here will call classic rock.
