dump bed

Hope I'm posting in the right forum. Anyone here used a dump bed kit that they're happy with? Looking for some input prior to purchase. Hydrolic vs. air etc. It is going on a 77 350. I've been able to price the trailers with dump and they are typically more capacity than I need. I'm based out of the Pacific Northwest.

Hope everyone's having a great Monday.

Here's another one operated by a winch system.

There's also the doohickey that works like a tarp in your bed, only you roll it up to move the load out. I know two folks who love theirs.

gentlemen - thank you very much. I didn't reckon I was going to get much of a reply but these ideas are better than the direction I was heading in. Thanks again.

I contacted EZ-Dumper for a price but they sent me an e-mail back saying that they were directing my request to the nearest dealer. It's been almost two weeks now and still nothing. The dealer is about 75 miles away.

I'll send a second request after I finish this post.

Dorf.

I got an e-mail from the dealer while I was typing my last post on this subject. Only took 10 days to quote me a price on a couple of their products.
Leads me to believe that the service would be just as slow if not worse.

Saw an episode of Trucks that used an air bag to lift the bed. Seemed alright to me, not to sure on the hinge at the back though. I'd like something a little more beefier, especially if you are going to use it on a regular basis.

I don't know if I would like the air power lift like on Trucks! NorthernTool and the Surplus Center in Lincoln Nebraska sells hoist that can be mounted on pickups.

Like this?

Also, the "doohickey" I mentioned before was a "Loadhandler". the lady I know uses it to unlaod truckloads of horse manure, and says she's almost as fast as the guys with dump beds. I didn't put in a link because I didn't want to upstage any FTE Sponsors who might sell it.

But it's easy to Google it, if they don't sell it.

Yep, that is the one, I personally after having a 1 ton on the farm with a true dump bed, would go the route of Hydrolics. But then again, it aslo had a flat bed and a PTO on the truck to run the hydro pump.
