Removed the cat
last month I installed a 2 piece 3 inch downpipe from the turbo. Yesterday I had the cat removed. What I had done was the cat cut off at the weld where the stub is connected to the can. Cut off the expanded dognut on the downpipe and put a piece of 3 inch in place of the cat. Expanded both ends of the replacement pipe, clamped it on the forward end and welded it into the 3 1/2 on the back end and left everything else stock. Well I thought I had good throttle response after the downpipe but I would never have believed I could get such a good response from the accelerator with the cat gone. This is a good mod and I want to say thanks to all who have shared their modification stories.
