Whistleing sound ?

I was pullong my travel trailer last week and could swear every now and then I'd hear a whistleing sound. Intermittantly.. It could have been a squeal or something else.
Has anyone else experienced this ? I thought it might be the wheel bearings on my trailer but I checked them and they are fine, re greased them and put them back.
Any ideas ?

I'd say a squeak differs from the charateristic turbo whistle.

Where was the sound coming from? It could just be your fan clutch kicking to high speed when the engine gets hot. this will sometimes cause some belt squeal It's not that uncommon when towing.

Well come on down.......or up.......
I hadn't thought of the fan clutch, I was more concerned with the trans or converter.
Thanks....

I had something like that happen to me found out it was one of the air intakes leaking it would go away and come back and sounded just like a whistle, Drove me nuts.
found out what it was by mistake but sure was happy when I found out. Check all of the clamps on air intakes. Might help.

I was thinking boost leak too. High boost conditions that would happen while pulling a trailer would make them more evident.
