Front Coil Question...
So, I know you can perform a rear axle flip to get 4" or more lift from the rear of the '91 X(I've actually heard 5.5" rumored). My question, since torquing the torsion bars only gets you 2" of safe lift...I've heard that there are coils off another vehicle that can be swapped into the '90-'94 X to get 2" of lift. Anyone know which vehicle or know of a good way to get the 2"-4" of lift outta the front? BTW, if anyone knows what hardware is required to flip the rear leafs, let me know?! Hell, check out my X and let me know what you think...just got it, so look I'm lookin' forward to some 31's!

So just to put my 2 cents in, the 91-94 explorers do not have a torsion bar suspension, but rather a ttb radius arm setup. For the rear, you can flip the spring mounts to the top of the axle for supposedly 5.5" of lift, depending on the spring pad, but the front needs springs and drop brackets for axle pivots and radius arm mounts. If you're going for around 2", I'd look into coil spacers or something.

If you are only looking to run 31's, all you need is a 1"-2" lift. This can be accomplished through either lift shackles or add-a-leaf on the rear and f-150 coil spacers or 2" lift springs in the front. The coil spacers and shackles are the cheapest way.
