brake pads/shoes

I need new brake pads and shoes for my 79 4x4, can someone tell me of a good brand to buy or is there a difference?

I got mine at autozone. They work fine. I got the lifetime pads 'cause I usually get enough replacements to pay for lifetime stuff on my cars.

I use Wagner Semi-Metallic pads & shoes.

Napa will guarantee them for the life of the vehicle.

Ahhh, they are not overly expensive. $30-40 does all four wheels I think.

Those are just for the fronts, 4 pads does 2 sides. Dunno about rear shoes I just got some from a local chain store like you had mentioned with the lifetime deal.
