Sent you an email with my cell phone #. call me if you have any problems or questions during your install.

I have a TON of pictures from my installation (too many to send) but if you have a specific question I probably have a picture for you.

here are the best directions I found on the net:

Here's another set of instructions that are ok:

I just installed mine last weekend. I put mine on drivers side manifold. Crawl under drivers side door and you'll have a clear view of the manifold. I installed mine on the under side of the manifold heading up to the turbo that way the shavings would fall out instead of into the manifold. Just make sure you have a sharp bit and a sharp tap or else it will be a pain. All in all, it is a pretty easy install. Good luck!

I have pictures on my web site. Click below. Left exhaust manifold is best.

I have ordered the Bully Dog with Outlook monitor and expect it first of the week. I asked the guy that I bought it from where the best place was to install and he said it says in the manifold but a lot of guys are putting it in the downpipe. That seems like it would be much easier and also more logical as you would get the heat from both sides instead of just on side of the engine. Anybody had any experience with putting the pyro in the downpipe?

It is a lot more safe engine wise to mount it pre-turbo so you'll get the temperature BEFORE the turbo not after. i'm not completely sure but i think anything over 1400 degrees is bad for the turbo. This way you'll know when to get off the throttle before something bad happens to the engine.

I think the people that install it in the down pipe are worried about getting the small shavings into the turbo and causing problems. I have always read the best place is pre-turbo, for the reasons Marshall mentions above.

I have the bully dog outlook and you can run pre turbo or after turbo but the best it pre turbo I havent put the probe in yet. thought I would have a chance over the weekend have to wait till next sat but I am going to put mine on the left manifold. But I am looking at calling bully dog to get another probe to put after the turbo on the down pipe as i already have a fitting welded in my MBRP down pipe I thought ahead saves some time. Thanks Milwaukee,WI for the input on where to mount the probe will have some pics when I get it done.

That's what I want to do.. pre-turbo and post turbo.

I've read on here that pre-turbo is what you want to watch when you are pushing it hard...

Post turbo is what you want to watch when you are shutting it down (since you don't want to shut it down when the turbo is still hot)

Also, with a pre turbo, you have no idea what the right bank is doing. This is important if something goes wrong on the right bank (injector, etc). I’m going to switch over to an Edge, so I will end up with 2 pyrometers. I think I’m going to put the edge preturbo (faster response to the edge), and my other post turbo.

What do you mean by faster response to the edge?

Some of the probes/fittings may run 1/8" pipe thread, but go with 1/4" pipe fitting and add a bushing if needed..That way you can go either way...
